Stages of film production

At Simple Frame, we deal with productions both comprehensively and at a selected stage of creation. What does it look like?

  • The first stage of filmmaking is pre-production. At this stage, we discuss the details of the project with you. Later, on the basis of these, we write a script. In turn, we organise the entire plan on the basis of the scenario.
  • The next stage is productionor shooting days on which we record material.
  • The third and final stage in our Production House is the post-production material in the post-production studio. It is at this level that we combine all the recorded material into a film. the previously mentioned video and sound editing and colour correction.

Magic is happening!

There are many activities involved in post-production. Once we have recorded material, it needs to be edited properly. However, it is not only editing that this final stage of work involves. Post-production means spending hours in the studio. Of course, in a studio that has been properly adapted!

The best studio is:
-> dark walls
-> no windows
-> silence
-> monitors with properly calibrated colour depth and sharpness
-> very good sound system
-> consoles

All the recorded material goes into the studio. The best doubles of scenes are selected and combined into a continuous, logical, chronological film. In addition to editing, the first steps are colour correction and colour grading. This is very important for the visual part of the film. Contrasts, colour, saturation, black and white levels are improved as much as possible. Working on colours is often the most time-consuming part of post-production. Any special effects and sounds, including special effects and music, are also added immediately afterwards.

In summary, image and sound post-production is:

  • Assembly
  • Colour correction
  • Color grading
  • Dialogues
  • Special effects
  • Music
  • Additional sounds
