The training video prepared for Abplanalp was about servicing a Haas ST-30Y CNC machine tool. At the beginning of the video, the basic principles of the CNC machine tool were presented. We described how the numerical controller works, what cutting tools are used to material processing and what the rules are for working on CNC machine tools.
The video then focused on diagnosis and troubleshooting of the machine tool. We covered the most common problems that can occur with a machine tool, such as problems with the spindle, cutting tools or power supply. It was also shown how to diagnose and solve these problems.
The next part of the video introduces cleaning and maintenance of the machine, which is very important for the proper functioning of the CNC machine tool. We described how exactly to carry out cleaning of the machine tool, which products to use for cleaning and which parts of the machine require special attention.
Replacement of parts and tools
Another topic covered in the video was the replacement of worn parts and tools. We covered the most important machine tool components that need to be replaced or overhauled, as well as how exactly to carry out such operations.
It was then shown how to accurately set up and calibrate a CNC machine tool so that it is fully functional and works as expected.
